Linsey Young is an independent curator and writer who is curently a LAHP funded PhD candidate at the Royal College of Art, London where her research looks at women artists working within the context of second wave feminism in the United Kindgom. 

The recpient of an MA in the History of Art from the University of Glasgow and an MPhil in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Manchester she reviously held the position of Curator British Contemporary Art, Tate (2016 - 2023) where in addition to curating major exhbitions and commissions she worked across contemporary displays and acquisitions. In 2018 she took a six month sabbatical to curate Charlie Prodger’s Scotland + Venice presentation at the 58th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia. 

Previous roles include, Curator, British Council (2014 - 2016)  Curator, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (2013 - 2014) and Assistant Curator, Inverleith House (2009 - 2013) Young ran the exhibitions and publishing project YOUNG TEAM (2011 - 2018)
